How to: View/Use/Setup Slide Master.
Solution:
Select the 'View' menu and select 'Master'. Then type the desired information in the master placeholders.
To use the Slide Master :
1) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Master'. (The Master submenu appears.)
2) Select 'Slide Master'. (The Slide Master slide appears, displaying the 'Title Area for AutoLayouts', 'Object Area for AutoLayouts', 'Date Area', 'Footer Area', and 'Number Area' placeholders.)
3) (Optional) Type the desired text in the 'Title Area for AutoLayouts' placeholder .

4) (Optional) Type the desired text or object in the 'Object Area for AutoLayouts' placeholder.

5) (Optional) Type a date in the 'Date Area' placeholder:
a) Select the 'Date Area' placeholder. (Handles appear around the selection box.)

b) Select '(date/time)' in the placeholder. (The selection is highlighted.)
c) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Date and Time...'. (The Date and Time dialog box appears.)
d) Select the desired format from the 'Available Formats' list.

e) Click 'OK'.
f) (Optional) Move the 'Date Area' placeholder to the desired location.
g) Click on a blank area to deselect the placeholder.
6) (Optional) Type a footer in the 'Footer Area' placeholder:
a) Select the 'Footer Area' placeholder. (Handles appear around the selection box.)

b) Type the desired footer text.
c) Move the 'Footer Area' placeholder to the desired location.
d) Click on a blank area to deselect the placeholder.
7) (Optional) Type a slide number format in the 'Number Area' placeholder:
a) Select the 'Number Area' placeholder. (Handles appear around the selection box.)

b) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Slide Number'.
c) Move the 'Number Area' placeholder to the desired location.
d) Click on a blank area, to deselect the placeholder.
8) Format the text in the placeholders as desired.
NOTE: All slides except title slides reflect the changes.
